Well MuMo listeners, it’s that time again.  School is starting and the kiddos will be out of the house Monday – Friday (for most of us).   5 days a week of getting up early, 5 days a week of waiting for the bus or dropping off and picking up, 5 days a week of pencils and paper and learning.  But that also means, 5 days a week of school lunches!!

What do you do? Do you pack the lunch or let them buy their lunch? This week the Musing Mommies Kim and Dawn talk about packing lunch and give our listeners lots of ideas for keeping it interesting and somewhat healthy.

And we make sure to find a way to incorporate cream cheese in wonderful, yummy ways! (would you expect anything less?)

We are now entering the home stretch of summer – vacations have been had and school supplies are out in the stores. Shoot, you can even find holiday decorations sneaking out of their summer slumber and gracing the store shelves with their temporarily quiet presence. But even with everything seemingly winding down, there is still something we can all enjoy for at least a couple more months.

Summer Food!

Vegetables and fruits are at a peak right now! Keep your house cooler by bypassing the oven and grilling outside instead. Cool off with a tall glass of fresh brewed iced tea.

Ok, this time I am gonna do it! I bought the Sunday paper, I spent an hour clipping and clipping, I stuffed all the tiny pieces of paper into an organized pocket folder and I am off to the grocery store! Woo hoo, gonna save some money! Right?

Right?

WRONG!

I don’t know about you, but the $.25 here and the $.50 there doesn’t even make up for the $2 I spent on the newspaper! And half of the time I forget the coupon holder or I don’t get around using the coupons until they are expired. I spend more time cleaning out the “organized” holder of all the expired coupons than I spend using the darn things and saving money. There has to be a better way!!
