Welcome welcome! I know it’s a coffee thing but make mine iced! It’s about 73 out there right now with the wind blowing hard. If you haven’t taken your antihistamine I feel bad for you cause CEDAR FEVER has hit and it’s making it hitting hard right now. I have a headache just listening to the wind out there. I hope I’ve taken enough to keep it at bay.

This week actually went really fast for me.  DD’s school musical, Willy Wonka Jr, is tonight and tomorrow night. She had rehearsals Tues, Wed, and Thurs. It’s been a different kind of week. I started off with a meal plan on Sunday which worked very well. Monday night we talked with Laura from OrgJunkie.com and I was inspired to get more organized. I have ideas and even though I didn’t do as much as I’d like to I’m still on a roll.

Can I say that the 30 day shred from Jillian Michaels is HARD? Not so much the moves and exercises but the soreness of my quad after for oh about 4 days! Whew, gonna try again, but dang, I’d like to be able to walk , sit and stand without wincing!

I’m really getting excited about out show (podcast) I’ve lined up some really fun interviews and a few joint podcasts with some great podcasters. And our listener ship is going up. That is so very exciting to me.  Our listeners are sharing us!!! YAY. Thank you to all that have shared our little show with your friends.  So that’s what’s going on around here. I’m off to check and see what you all are up too.

Hi everyone!

Like Kim said, the weather here is crazy gorgeous this week! Oh man, I am dreaming of spring! Sadly, this is probably the closest we will get to spring as around here; we go from freezing winter to 100+ temps most years.  I did a bad thing and stopped in at Lowe’s this morning to look in the garden center.

They have all their spring garden stuff out.

So, would one of you lend me about $200?? Please?

I am so excited about my spring garden, and I desperately need to sit down and figure out what I am going to do this year.  The planting time is just around the corner!

Hope all you west-coasters are keeping above water, and our eastern friends are staying warm.  If any of you need a break, the Musing Mommies would love to visit with you here in sunny Texas!

Welcome girls!  I’ve just purchased some vanilla spiced rum creamer so grab a mug and test it out.

This week at DD’s school has been the “say no to drugs” week.  Every day it’s was a new theme.  Today was Literacy Day. Dress up as your favorite book character (they don’t allow the Halloween costume thing so this is the “best” option). Here is DD dressed as Junie B. Jones the boss of Lunch:

It’s been a pretty decent week here. The weather hasn’t been cooperative, but I can’t exactly complain.  At least it hasn’t been 100 degrees and my garden has been getting plenty of water.  I am now beginning to harvest green beans, the peas are blooming and the zucchini are making their debut.  I am looking forward to harvesting lima beans in a few weeks and the start of some peppers.

I made an amazing dinner the other night using lots of fresh basil from my garden for some homemade pesto – it was absolutely divine!

This weekend should be a blast; Hubby, the kids and I will be attending a big Halloween party. I hope the kids hold out through the night. It will be our first Halloween in a different location, but for some reason I still bought a bunch of candy!! Old habits die hard I guess.

Hello girls (and any guys out there)!  I’ve been looking forward to coffee and chat today.  Thanks for stopping by and checking in on us!

I must say that this week has been a pretty good one!  Last weekend was nice an quiet with DH coming home Saturday from a business trip and then hanging out with him.  We missed him while he was gone.  Monday the MuMos had an awesome interview with Julie Kenner, author of many books but most know her for her demon hunting soccer mom series!  If you are interested in our podcast with that interview I invite you to scroll down or click here: Episode 26.  It was so much fun to get to pick her brain about writing and being Mommy at the same time.  There’s a lot that goes into it that I didn’t know about.

The rest of the week has gone fairly smoothly.  With DD making the all school musical, Willy Wonka Jr, I’ve had to rearrange our after school schedule. It’s all worked out well so no complaints there.  It’s really weird having her at school until 5 a few days a week.  But I think this will be a great learning experience for her. I hope she does well when it comes performance time.  I hope my stage fright hasn’t passed on to her.

I have a birthday celebration to attend this weekend for one of my close girlfriends and it’s going to be a great night!  I hope she has a great, wonderful, fantabulous, birthday!  Happy Birthday Shan!

Hey there Company Girls!

I’ve had a pretty good week here too.  Lots of photography work, and awesome interview with Julie on Monday night and good times with the kids.  I have been tending my fall garden and I just discovered today that I have little tiny black beans and lima beans growing!!! yay!! I am so excited – the neighbors probably thought I was crazy squealing and jabbering on like a little girl to the plants in my back yard.  I get so nutty when I see baby veggies growing…and yes, I talk to my plants. (hangs head in shame)

Next week I am off to Houston again to photograph newborn twin girls and I am beyond excited!! The traveling is going to make the whole week crazy, but I am too thrilled for the opportunity to care.  I love what I do! And, since the holidays are just around the corner (yes, yes they are!) I think I am pulling out the Christmas music.  yup.  I am one of “those” people! lol

Good Morning Ladies!  It’s a great morning to grab a warm cup of coffee or tea. The clouds are looming, the temp is near 70 and the ground is wet with the rain from last night!

I hope this week has been a great one for you all.  Mine was up and down and generally like a roller coaster!  I had a nice weekend, dinner with adults time with “the girls” and time with the family!  Podcasts, swim lessons, piano lessons, play auditions, and I even managed to get my own haircut!  Whew, I’m tired just writing this. LOL.  With DH out of town for a few days I was in charge of dropping DD off at school. I’m not a walking her into her class mom, I’m a drop of in the parent drive up line mom!  I don’t think DD likes that very much but I am what I am.  At least we still keep a normal schedule when Daddy is out of town.

Today is a day of remembrance.  I’m trying to be in that frame of mind.  I pray for the friends and families of our lost ones.

Hello Company Girls! MuMo Dawn here – I am so glad to be able to visit with you all this week! Last week the family and I met up with my inlaws for a short family vacation.  I thought I would have internet access (I mean, are there really places without it??) but was sadly mistaken! Talk about serious withdrawal! I think I broke out in “no internet access” hives! Lol! Anyway, we had 4 days of family together-ness, including good scenery, nice weather and even better coffee.  Normally I make good coffee at home, but due to my enforced “cheapness” I make it really weak.  My father in law however, makes strong, awesome coffee, and between him, myself and my sister in law – coffee was at times the main focus of the day.  It was so nice to pour a good strong cup and take it out on the back deck and listen to the river flow just off in the distance.

It was a lovely vacation, but I am so glad to be back at home.  I am back at work this week – editing images, placing orders and planning for the holiday rush of photo sessions. I hope it is a busy holiday season for me.  The past couple of days with the boys have been rough.  We’ve had lots of fighting, messes and lots of time outs, and I am sad to say I have hollered a lot more than I like to.  But today, in remembering the events that occurred 8 years ago, I am thankful for the baby who refuses to nap; thankful for the peed on clothes to wash and the dog puke to clean up off the floor.  Because, I am so blessed to have these “difficulties” in my life, and I know how easily and quickly it can all be taken away.

MuMo Kim – What a week this has been!  This was the first week of school for Baby Girl, although she’s not a baby anymore.  2nd grade is a big deal if you didn’t already know that.  Before school started we had decided that Baby Girl would be going to a new school.  We were told “she’s in”.  We brought the proper paperwork and such up to the school to get her transferred in.  Then when I called to to make sure they had everything from our end we were told she didn’t get in because the school district decided not to open up a new classroom for all the transfers.  Baby Girl was heart broken.  She cried. It wasn’t a good experience.  We decided to stay in the school where she’s previously attended.  We went to orientation and met her teacher.  EVERYONE told Baby Girl that this teacher is “so sweet” “so nice” “you’ll love her”.  This helped Baby Girl to be a bit more excited to attend school. So far so good.  We are still holding out hope for this new school.  By next week we should know for sure if they open a new class or not.

Baby Boy had preschool orientation this week.  He starts class next week.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES the music teacher.  She is awesome with the kiddos.  He ran right up to her and gave big hugs.  Now he did not however do this to his last year’s teacher nor his this year’s teacher.  I’m a bit worried that he’s already made up his mind to not like them but I am hoping that it’s just that he doesn’t know his new teacher very well. He also is not in class with any of his last year’s buddies.  In fact he is in a small class and is the only boy at this time.  I pray that this changes quick.  He will not take well to being the only boy.  Baby Boy needs a buddy.  We will find out next week I guess.

I am trying my hardest to get into a routine.  Waking at 6:30 in not ideal for me.  I think I’m doing well with it.  I’ve been going to bed early on the nights that I can to make sure I don’t go into sleep deprivation. Next week I will have 3 days a week to do with what I want.  I have some plans.  Tuesdays will be Podcast edit day .  As for the other two, solo grocery shopping and errand running sounds heavenly! I’m also going to get this house IN ORDER!!! No more excuses.

Well my coffee is almost empty and I need to find out what MuMo Dawn has been up to.  I’ve enjoyed our Coughfee Tawk this week!  Thank you for stopping by.

MuMo Dawn: Hi Ladies! Welcome to the Musing Mommies Podcast Blog! I am so glad you stopped by for coffee! I love it when you all come to my personal blog, so when MuMo Kim suggested we host coffee over here, I told her it was an excellent idea!

Well my week has been crazy as usual.  My parents were here on an extended visit from the weekend (and Kiddo’s birthday party) and by the time they left I was even further behind on all my work.  My photography business has been wonderful this summer and I am absolutely swamped, but I love it!  I just got back from Houston tonight – I had a wonderful newborn session this morning for a fantastic mommy there.  Her baby girl was so gorgeous! She gave us both a workout though; she did not want to sleep for anything! lol! She was quite the challenge, but I know I got some amazing images out of her anyway.

This weekend I hope to catch up a bit on editing and housework and then next week I will be planning and packing for a small, extended family vacation. I am so excited!!

One of my greatest loves is photography, and I am just giddy and excited whenever I get the opportunity to do something related to it.  And right now I am smack dab in the middle of an exciting project with the one and only Rachel Anne Ridge from Home Sanctuary!Not only did Mrs. Ridge bless Kim and I with an amazing interview for our show this week, but she has graciously asked me to help her with her new exciting project, a book called Company Girl.
